Most recently Paula served as Vice President, People, Strategy & Communications for Cancer Care Ontario where she led the organization’s transformation to a more modern and agile enterprise. Prior to that, she was Chief of Staff, Vice President, Corporate Image & Business Excellence with Microsoft Canada. Paula led a high-performing team in building the Microsoft brand in Canada. She was recognized by Bill Gates as one of the company’s most influential leaders. She has been named as one of the top 150 Canadian Women in Business, the Top 100 Most Powerful Women and her contributions to social development have seen her awarded both the Queen Elizabeth Diamond and Golden Jubilee Medals.

Kate's also CEO of Wake Up Kate, a mindfulness consultancy that trains organizations in stress resilience across North America.
